Do I need transit insurance?
Yes, Transit insurance is a special type of insurance that protects against loss and damage during the moving process. While we take the utmost care of your belongings, there may be circumstances outside of our control which may put your belongings at risk. Please refer to the insurance product disclosure statement for more information about transit insurance.
Do I need to be at the uplift or delivery?
An authorised representative is required at both uplift and delivery. If you cannot attend, please arrange for a person to act as your agent to take delivery of your goods at the time agreed upon. Alternatively you may make arrangements to store your goods, at additional charge, until you can take delivery.
Does my furniture stay in the same truck that the furniture removalist picked it up in?
If you are moving from one house to another on the same day, your furniture will be picked up and delivered in the same vehicle. If you are moving interstate, through our interstate furniture removalists network (AMG), your furniture may be re-stowed at the depot and made ready for a longer journey.
What items can’t you move?
Cooking oils, cleaning solvents, aerosol cans, matches, firelighters, pesticides, paint thinners, oil, petrol, kerosene, methylated spirits, turpentine, weed killers, photographic chemicals and swimming pool chemicals.
As interstate furniture removalists, what items can't be moved locally or interstate?
In addition to the dangerous goods listed above furniture removalists - whether local or interstate furniture removalists - are prohibited from transporting explosives, ammunition and toxic materials and plants unless quarantine approved.
