You or your nominated representative must be available to greet our team on arrival and ensure our team leader is clear on what items are to be removed. During the course of the day you can certainly leave the property should you have other commitments. Of course on completion of packing and loading you will be required to sign off on the inventory to ensure all items have been removed.
If you are including a fridge ensure it is switched off emptied and wiped clean 48 hrs prior to uplift. Ensure the dishwasher is empty. Disconnect any electrical systems such as home theatres and take a digital photo of the wiring for ease of reassembly. Remove any wall fixtures and disconnect and empty water from any washing machines.
For local moves that are being collected and delivered the same day this is possible however ensure all packaging is secure and tightly sealed particularly liquids.

The plastic used by removalists to cover furniture is specially designed for this purpose. However, if your furniture is damp before it is wrapped, there may be a problem. If the removalist notices any dampness, they will point this out to you and most probably refuse to cover in plastic, but use removal blankets as an alternative.
